The International Chittagong Hill Tracts Commission has released a statement of concern, following report amounting to increased violence in the Chittagong Hill Tract area.
The statement makes mention of injury relating to firing by riot police, arbitrary arrest and torture, attack, intra-party violence among other incidents that highlight the nature of rising violence in the area.
In its statement the CHTC calls upon the Government to act immediately to urgently address these crucial issues.
