Dr. Priti Kumari Mandal – Nepal

Dr. Priti Kumari Mandal is an assistant professor in Tribhuwan University, Nepal. She has
completed her graduation and post-graduation in the field of education from Tribhuwan
University, Nepal, and Ph.D from Faculty of Education, Banaras Hindu University, India. Women
empowerment and education was the main area of study during her Ph.D. In addition, she has
conducted several researches and has been working in the area of women’s human rights and
their empowerment since last 7 years. She has also been working as a GESI consultant for
several years. Dr. Mandal is the founder member and president of Transform initiatives- Nepal
and HEAR-Nepal, a Nepal based NGOs working in the area of child right, women empowerment,
human right, education, health and environment. Currently, she is a bureau member of South
Asians for Human Rights representing Nepal
