Virtual dialogue on the Afghanistan – Pakistan partnership for Peace, Security & Human Rights in South Asia on 1 Dec 2020

South Asians for Human Rights (SAHR) and Afghan Women Network (AWN) held its first virtual dialogue on the Afghanistan – Pakistan partnership for Peace, Security & Human Rights in South Asia on 1 Dec 2020. The first of a series of discussions was with high-level politicians and human rights defenders from both countries.

The Panelists were Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Senator Farhatullah Baber, Ms. Bushra Gohar from Pakistan Ms. Shahgul Rezaei, Ambassador Janan Mosazai & State Minister for Human Rights Dr. Sima Samar from Afghanistan. In addition, Hina Jilani from Pakistan also joined the discussion. The event was moderated by Nadir Naim from Afghanistan and Afrasiab Khattak from Pakistan.

It was conducted to promote and strengthen the interaction among people along the border for peace, democracy and stability in the region & build a genuine outcome for the peace talks that promote women and human rights and democracy in Afghanistan and peace in the region.
