The Tenth session of the Legislature-Parliament, which began early May, continued during the whole month of June and is still in session. After the deadline of the Constituent Assembly (CA) was extended in May 28, the first meeting commenced on 03 June 2011. Altogether 12 meetings were convened during the month of June. The major highlights of those meetings are as follows:

The fourteenth meeting of the Tenth session of Legislature-Parliament commenced on 3 June 2011, at 16:10 hours, presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon’ble Subas Chandra Nembang. At the commencement of the meeting, Hon’ble members delivered speeches on contemporary issues followed by an address of the Opposition Leader, Hon’ble Ram Chandra Poudel, who emphasized on strictly abiding by the 5-point deal, both in letter and spirit, so as to complete the peace process. Then the Speaker read out the letter received from the President’s Office notifying the certification of two Acts: namely the Prevention of Money Laundering (First Amendment) Act, 2068 B.S. and Ethnic Disparity and Untouchability (Crime and Punishment) Act, 2068 B.S.
