ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman has on Sunday said that the Rohingya Muslims are being killed in Myanmar mercilessly yet the United Nations (UN) and the Human Rightsorganizations are silent. He said that UN’s silence in this regard was condemnable, reported Dunya News.

Talking to the interim Secretary General of the JUI-F Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan in Islamabad, Fazl said that the human rights organizations are unable to see the mass killings of the rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. He stressed upon calling a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) on emergency basis and take action on diplomatic level at the earliest. He said that the Muslim governments and leaders should talk in firm tone with Myanmar on the issue.

Criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), JUI-F head said that while the PTI raised objections over General Election 2013 claiming mass rigging but it has set new records of rigging during the recent local body elections in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP). He said that he would never accept re-poll under the sitting government. Fazl said that the provincial government of KP was incompetent.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the opposition parties will not take part in the re-election unless the sitting government resigns.

Talking about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Fazl said that the critiques of the project should realize that this project will not only help Pakistan but the entire region will benefit from it. He said that Kashmir issue is the biggest hurdle in the improvement of Pak-India relations and thus the issue must be resolved at the earliest and all major players should play their roles.
